But this is not actually true. It's a matter of habit.
I have observed that reading enhances critical thinking, Reading encourages critical analysis, improving problem-solving skills. Initially we may face issues but it broadens our wisdom and makes our mind broader.
Reading helps us in gaining Empathy and understanding, like Through characters' experiences, books broaden our perspectives and foster empathy.
Books relieve Stress Reading can be a calming escape, reducing stress and promoting mental well-being. On the other hand reels ,or shorts Decreased attention span, Constantly switching between apps and reels can lead to distraction and decreased focus. Example, Initially People used to watch TV even for hours but nowadays a 30 second reel should cover the whole story which made us mentally weak. We want all works of nowadays to be. completed in short span of time and want simply shortcuts
As we know Mental health concerns are increasing excessive screen time has been tied to increased stress, anxiety, and depression. It has a bad impact on health, especially eyes.
To reclaim the joy of reading, we must make a conscious effort to prioritize books over mobile screens. Especially among the younger generation . As we know the young ones don't eat or drink . I observe in my surroundings that parents are also willing to give phones and tabs to even toddlers so that they may not cry. And it had a bad impact on the child's well being and mental health.
Like for toddlers I must recommend buying picture books and engaging them in physical activities ,indoor and outdoor games, crafts , paintings , sketches and Start and develop reading habits among them so that they may avoid screen time. The reels are impacting indeed in both ways but they are not willing to watch the good series indeed the dopamine rush
I must suggest on the other side to myself and my colleagues that schedule reading time we must Set aside dedicated time for reading, to free from digital distractions. We should explore diverse genres that it venture beyond favorite authors or topics to discover new interests. Like among children there should be development of story books like religion and that give lessons so that the moral upbringing will automatically lead them to differentiate between the good and bad. Various genres among the youth enhances personal development and enriches the vision makes them visionary what is going around us
For youngsters rather than joining online gaming clubs they should Join book clubs or discussions Share perspectives and insights with fellow readers.
