Saifi calls for peace, healthcare initiative in Kashmir

April 13, 2026 | Mohmmad Muslim

Srinagar, April, 12: Haji Shakeel Saifi, Chairman of World Peace Harmony, CEO of Saifi Hospitals, and Director of Saifi Films, during his visit to Kashmir, interacted with Brighter Kashmir on key social and developmental issues. He expressed his willingness to establish a Saifi Hospital in Kashmir, provided land is allotted, to offer free medical facilities to underprivileged sections of society.

Saifi noted a significant rise in tourist footfall compared to previous years, with visitors from states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Delhi. He described this as a strong indicator of growing confidence in Kashmir’s safety and stability. According to him, areas like Lal Chowk now reflect a sense of normalcy where people move freely without fear.
He credited this positive shift to governance and policy initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Highlighting infrastructure growth, he pointed to the expansion of four-lane highways under Nitin Gadkari, improved connectivity for the Amarnath Yatra, the proposed expansion of Srinagar Airport, and the Katra–Srinagar railway project as key drivers of development, tourism, and regional integration.
On the philanthropic front, Saifi emphasized his commitment to social welfare. His Delhi-based hospital provides free beds, along with scheduled free CT scans, ultrasounds, and OPD services. His charitable efforts also extend to supporting marriages of underprivileged families and contributing to social and religious causes.
Addressing global issues, Saifi voiced strong opposition to wars, particularly conflicts like Iran–Israel, advocating diplomacy over confrontation to prevent loss of innocent lives.
Through World Peace Harmony, Saifi envisions fostering unity, compassion, and cooperation at the grassroots level. He concluded that lasting development is only possible in an environment of peace and harmony.
