
The two-day annual alumni meet, SANGAM-2025, concluded successfully at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, bringing together alumni, faculty, students, and guests from across India. Organized by the Office of Dean Alumni and International Affairs in collaboration with the NIT Srinagar Alumni Association, the event celebrated institutional progress and alumni engagement.
Chief Guest Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Kashmir, emphasized the role of alumni as a bridge between the institute and the global professional community, urging them to mentor students, support research, and contribute to institutional growth. NIT Srinagar Director Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia and I/C Director Prof. Roohie Naaz Mir highlighted the institute’s progress in research, innovation, and student welfare, stressing the importance of strengthening alumni connections.
Former Director Prof. A.M. Wani reflected on NIT Srinagar’s journey, while Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman outlined initiatives to promote interdisciplinary research, startups, and international collaborations. Alumni Association President Prof. M.S. Mir and Dean Alumni & International Affairs Prof. M.A. Shah underscored the global footprint of NIT Srinagar alumni and their role in shaping the institute’s future.
The event featured keynote addresses, discussions on mentorship and industry-academia linkages, and the release of “Bridges & Beacons: A Chronicle of NIT Srinagar”, capturing the institute’s achievements and alumni success stories. Faculty, students, and volunteers were felicitated, and the event included a plantation drive and ceremonial lamp lighting, reflecting the institute’s vision for sustainability, excellence, and global engagement.
