Minister Satish Sharma today held a meeting with representatives of leading oil companies, including HPCL, to review the availability and supply of LPG in Jammu and Kashmir, especially following recent road blockades.

The Minister emphasized ensuring uninterrupted LPG supply to households across the UT. Oil company representatives assured that the supply chain is maintained daily, with efforts to prevent any inconvenience to the public.
Sharma urged prioritizing trucks carrying LPG cylinders and coordinating with authorities to ensure smooth passage. He also stressed expanding the network of LPG distribution outlets, particularly in rural and border areas, to provide timely access to remote families.
Officials of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department were directed to coordinate closely with oil companies, monitor stock positions, and streamline distribution channels to avoid shortages. The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding essential supplies and public welfare.
