Srinagar, Aug. 30 :The grandmother of senior journalist Fayaz Wani passed away at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, on Sunday following a brief bout of illness. She was 90.

Her demise has left the family and those who knew her in deep grief. Despite having lived through nine decades, she was remembered for her simplicity, humility and an unassuming way of life.
Those close to the family described her as a pious and religious-minded woman who remained deeply attached to faith and spiritual values. She was known for her down-to-earth nature and gentle disposition, earning affection and respect among relatives and people around her.
For the family, her passing marks the end of a long and cherished journey. At an age when she had witnessed generations grow before her, she remained a source of affection, wisdom and emotional strength for those close to her.
Her final days were spent receiving treatment at SKIMS Soura, where she succumbed to her illness at the age of 90.
