Sopore police move to cancel bail of UAPA violators

November 11, 2025 | BK News Service

As part of its ongoing crackdown on the terror–separatist ecosystem, Police in Sopore have identified 11 individuals booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act – UAPA who, despite being granted bail by the Hon’ble Court, were found to be violating the conditions imposed upon them.

After close monitoring and verification of their post-bail conduct, Police have established violations of bail conditions and are in the process of moving formal applications before the competent court for cancellation of their bail orders.
This action is part of Police’s sustained efforts to ensure that judicial reliefs are not misused by those involved in unlawful or anti-national activities. The identification of these violators highlights Police’s proactive approach to enforcing accountability among accused released on bail.
Police reiterated that bail is a legal concession, not an exemption from accountability. Any misuse or violation of court-imposed conditions will lead to immediate legal action, including the cancellation of bail and re-arrest.
Police reaffirmed its commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that no one misuses judicial provisions to undermine peace, public safety, or the sovereignty of the nation
