
Dimapur, Jan 25 : The Spearhead Gunners of Spear Corps successfully conducted Exercise Agni Pariksha – Phase I from 19 to 24 January 2026, a joint training initiative involving Infantry and ITBP personnel.
The exercise focused on enhancing artillery precision and operational coordination, with participating units independently executing multiple artillery shoots under simulated combat scenarios. Troops practiced rapid deployment, target acquisition, and coordinated firing drills, testing both technical skills and decision-making under pressure.
Officials highlighted that the exercise aimed to strengthen interoperability between the Indian Army and paramilitary forces, ensuring seamless coordination in high-intensity operations. It also reinforced readiness for combined responses in challenging terrains and adverse conditions.
Troops reported that the hands-on training enhanced situational awareness, improved artillery handling, and promoted mutual understanding between different service arms. The success of Phase-I sets the stage for subsequent phases of Agni Pariksha, aimed at further refining joint operational capabilities and strengthening national defense preparedness.
