Spear Corps conducts Krav Maga training for women & children

Walong, Nov 3: Under the ongoing #OpSadbhavana initiative, troops of the Spear Corps, Dao Division, conducted a two-week Krav Maga Unarmed Combat Training program at Walong, Arunachal Pradesh, under #ProjectSuraksha. The training focused on self-defence, women empowerment, and child safety awareness, aimed at enhancing personal security and confidence among local communities in border areas.

A total of 39 children and 25 women from Walong, Sarti, and Hawai participated in the program. The sessions equipped participants with essential self-defence techniques, situational awareness skills, and strategies to protect themselves in emergencies.
The initiative also strengthened civil–military cooperation, fostering trust and collaboration between the armed forces and local communities. Organizers highlighted that such programs not only empower women and children but also contribute to overall community resilience in sensitive border regions.
Participants expressed gratitude for the training, noting that it boosted their confidence and awareness of personal safety measures. Troops emphasized the continued commitment of the Spear Corps to community engagement and empowerment through practical skill-building initiatives.
