Imphal/Pallel, Sep 13: In a continued effort to connect with the youth and create awareness about the role of the Armed Forces in national security and development, Spear Corps of the Indian Army, in collaboration with Assam Rifles, conducted multiple interaction sessions with students and NCC cadets in Manipur.
As part of this outreach, over 100 students at Army Public School, Pallel in Kakching, and 150 NCC cadets at DM College in Imphal were engaged in interactive awareness programs focusing on Operation Sindoor and the broader contributions of the Indian Armed Forces in nation-building.
The sessions aimed to educate the younger generation on the significance of counter-terrorism operations, the sacrifices made by security forces, and the importance of unity, leadership, and patriotism. Officers highlighted the objectives and outcomes of Operation Sindoor, launched earlier this year in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which saw robust retaliation and coordinated border security operations.
The interaction included motivational talks, Q&A sessions, and insights into career opportunities in the Armed Forces. It also stressed the importance of youth participation in preserving peace and contributing positively to society.
Officials stated that such initiatives are vital in bridging the gap between civilians and the military, fostering mutual respect and understanding, and igniting a sense of purpose and patriotism in the minds of the youth.
These outreach programs are part of a larger effort by the Indian Army to reinforce the message of security through unity, and the key role played by soldiers in ensuring peace and development, especially in the sensitive and strategically important Northeast region.
The students and cadets expressed deep appreciation for the sessions, calling them “eye-opening and inspiring.” Many expressed a newfound interest in exploring careers in the Armed Forces.
