Assam, Dec 30: Dao Division under Spear Corps conducted a series of engaging and educational events in December 2025, aimed at promoting awareness, community bonding, and cultural celebration in the region.
On 16 December 2025, over 600 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) and Army Public School (APS) Dinjan, Assam, participated in interactive sessions on cyber hygiene, digital safety, and security risks. The initiative focused on equipping students with essential knowledge about online threats, safe internet practices, and responsible digital behaviour, ensuring that young learners are better prepared to navigate the increasingly connected world. Following this, on 22 December 2025, the Spear Corps organized a cultural celebration attended by more than 220 families, highlighting the rich heritage, traditions, and festivals of Northeast India. The event showcased traditional music, dance, cuisine, and handicrafts, fostering a sense of pride and understanding of the diverse cultural tapestry of the region. Families actively participated in cultural performances, games, and competitions, strengthening community ties and promoting social cohesion.
The series of activities culminated in a vibrant two-day New Year Mela held on 27 and 28 December 2025. The Mela featured cultural programs, food stalls, art exhibitions, and interactive activities for children and adults alike. The event provided a platform for the local community to come together, celebrate, and engage with the Spear Corps personnel in an informal setting, reinforcing the bond between the armed forces and the civilian population.
Through these initiatives, Dao Division under Spear Corps has successfully combined education, cultural awareness, and community engagement, creating opportunities for learning, celebration, and interaction. The efforts reflect the Corps’ commitment to fostering security awareness among youth while promoting the social and cultural development of the region.
