Dimapur , April 21: Spear Corps has launched a 10-day internship programme at Dimapur Military Station for 17 students from Nagaland, aimed at familiarising them with the functioning of the Indian Armed Forces and encouraging them to consider a career in the military.

The programme, which commenced on April 20, 2026, is designed to provide participants with structured exposure to military life, discipline, leadership values, and operational aspects of the armed forces. Through guided interactions and on-ground experience, the students will gain insights into various roles, training standards, and career pathways available in the Indian Army and other services.
During the course of the internship, the students will be mentored by serving officers and personnel, who will brief them on the ethos of military service, the importance of discipline, physical fitness, and teamwork. The initiative also includes motivational sessions focused on nation-building and leadership development.
Officials said the programme is part of a broader effort by Spear Corps to engage youth from the North East and inspire them to explore opportunities in the armed forces. It also aims to strengthen the bond between the Army and local communities by creating awareness about defence careers.
The internship will conclude after 10 days with interactive sessions and feedback activities, marking the completion of an immersive learning experience for the participating students.
