Manipur, Mar 3: Intelligence-driven joint operations conducted from 22 to 28 February 2026 by IndianArmy and AssamRifles under SpearCorps, in close coordination with #ManipurPolice, have led to significant security gains across the state.

The operations, carried out in the hill and valley districts of Bishnupur, Imphal East, Imphal West, Churachandpur, Thoubal, and Chandel, resulted in the apprehension of 17 cadres involved in insurgent activities. Security forces also recovered 30 weapons, explosives, and other war-like materials during the coordinated actions.
Officials highlighted that the joint operations were based on actionable intelligence, targeting insurgent hideouts and disrupting planned attacks. Troops conducted thorough searches, coordinated cordons, and engaged in systematic verification of suspicious sites, ensuring minimal collateral impact on civilians.
The successful operations underscore the Indian Army and Assam Rifles’ commitment to maintaining peace and security in Manipur, preventing potential threats, and neutralizing insurgent networks in the region. Authorities affirmed that such intelligence-led actions will continue to safeguard public safety and regional stability.
