Spear Corps organises Dzukou Valley Trek

Dimapur, Nov 28: As a prelude to the 26th Hornbill Festival, celebrating culture, unity, and fitness, the Spear Corps organised a high-energy two-day, one-night trek to the picturesque Dzukou Valley. The expedition was flagged off on 25th November 2025 from Zakhama Military Station in Nagaland, attracting enthusiastic participation from students and teachers of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School.

The trek was not only an adventure but also a learning experience, fostering teamwork, resilience, and an appreciation for nature. Participants navigated challenging trails, enjoying the valley’s breathtaking landscapes and serene environment while building camaraderie among themselves.
In addition to trekking, the group carried out a Cleanliness Drive at the top of the valley under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative, emphasizing environmental responsibility and the importance of preserving natural beauty. The initiative reinforced the spirit of community service alongside adventure, aligning perfectly with the festival’s themes of culture, unity, and collective action.
