Spear Corps promotes National Girl Child Day initiatives

Damipur, Jan 25, 2026: In observance of National Girl Child Day, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps conducted extensive community outreach programs across Manipur and Assam, aiming to promote the welfare, education, and empowerment of girls.

The activities included sapling plantations, reinforcing environmental responsibility, and awareness drives focused on child protection, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding girls from abuse and exploitation. Empowerment sessions engaged young girls and local communities, highlighting their rights, access to education, and health care.
At Charaideo, a special lecture was organized to educate communities on Girls’ Rights, Education, and Health, encouraging societal support for gender equality. Youth participation was actively promoted to foster leadership, confidence, and social responsibility among the next generation.
Officials stated that these initiatives not only celebrated the spirit of the day but also strengthened community bonds, nurtured inclusivity, and instilled values of empowerment and awareness. The programs underscore the Indian Army and Assam Rifles’ commitment to holistic development alongside security responsibilities.
