Spear Corps students visit Bumla Pass & Shungatser Lake

Dimapur, Nov 22: Under OperationSadbhavana, a delegation from the Spear Corps, consisting of students and teachers from Don Bosco College, Maram, Manipur, visited the Bumla Pass at the Indo-China border and Shungatser Lake in Arunachal Pradesh on 20 November 2025. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the Indian Army to foster goodwill, awareness, and understanding of the country’s strategic border regions among youth.

During the visit, the team explored the picturesque landscapes, learning about the geography, history, and strategic significance of the Bumla Pass, a critical location on the Indo-China border. They were briefed on the operational challenges and the role of the armed forces in ensuring the security and integrity of the frontier.
The journey continued to Shungatser Lake, where the visitors were captivated by the serene beauty and tranquil surroundings. Students and teachers engaged with local communities, gaining insights into the lifestyle, culture, and challenges faced by people residing in high-altitude border areas.
The visit offered participants a unique opportunity to connect with nature, appreciate India’s diverse topography, and understand the importance of national security.
