Spear Corps trains Agniveer aspirants in Assam, Manipur

August 26, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Charaideo/Waikhong, Aug 25: Formations under the Spear Corps conducted Agniveer preparedness initiatives in Assam and Manipur, aimed at equipping local youth with the skills, confidence and awareness required to participate successfully in the armed forces recruitment process.

In Charaideo, Assam, the initiative was organised in coordination with the District Administration to provide aspiring Agniveer candidates with structured guidance for recruitment. Participants underwent training focused on physical fitness, endurance and preparation for the written examination.
The programme sought to help candidates understand the requirements of the recruitment process while encouraging them to adopt disciplined training routines and prepare systematically for the various stages of selection.
A similar initiative was conducted at Waikhong in Kakching district of Manipur, where aspiring Agniveer candidates underwent pre-medical screening. Participants were briefed on prescribed medical standards and provided guidance on fitness, health requirements and overall recruitment preparedness.
The screening and awareness session was intended to help candidates identify potential medical concerns at an early stage and better understand the standards they would be required to meet during the recruitment process.
The initiatives reflect the Spear Corps’ continued focus on youth engagement and capacity building in the Northeast. By providing structured preparation, fitness guidance and recruitment-related awareness, such programmes seek to create greater opportunities for young people aspiring to join the armed forces.
The outreach also encourages youth to pursue disciplined and constructive career opportunities while strengthening their confidence and preparedness to serve the nation.
Through such initiatives, the Spear Corps continues to support local aspirants by bridging gaps in access to recruitment guidance and helping them approach the Agniveer selection process with greater awareness, preparation and confidence.
