Rangapahar, April 27: Spear Corps of the Indian Army showcased a range of newly developed logistics and technology-driven facilities at Rangapahar, highlighting its focus on modernization, efficiency, and sustainable military infrastructure.
Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, reviewed the newly established facilities including the Experience Hub, Smart Tech Quality Assurance Lab, and the Green Vault. During his visit, he interacted with personnel and closely assessed the innovations designed to enhance operational readiness and logistical effectiveness in challenging terrains.
The Experience Hub has been developed as an interactive space to demonstrate advanced operational concepts and emerging technologies being integrated into military logistics. It aims to provide hands-on exposure to modern systems and improve understanding of technology-driven battlefield support mechanisms.
The Smart Tech Quality Assurance Lab is focused on ensuring high standards in equipment and supply chain processes through digital monitoring, testing, and evaluation systems. This facility is expected to significantly improve reliability and efficiency in logistics management by incorporating real-time data analysis and quality control mechanisms.
The Green Vault, another key facility, reflects the formation’s emphasis on environmental sustainability. It incorporates eco-friendly storage and resource management practices aimed at reducing environmental impact while maintaining operational effectiveness. The initiative aligns with broader efforts by the Indian Army to integrate green practices into its infrastructure development.
Lieutenant General Pendharkar commended all ranks of Spear Corps for their innovative approach and dedication towards strengthening logistics capability through the use of emerging technologies. He emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in enhancing operational preparedness, especially in strategically important and geographically challenging regions like the Northeast.
He further appreciated the efforts of personnel involved in conceptualizing and executing these facilities, noting that modernization of logistics is a key enabler for future-ready armed forces.
