Sports activities held in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, April 27: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Ganderbal is continuing its efforts to curb drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan across various zones of the district, including Ganderbal, Kangan, Hariganwan and Tulmullah.

As part of the campaign, a range of activities such as awareness programmes, volleyball and badminton competitions, table tennis matches, and carrom events were organised to encourage youth participation in positive and healthy engagements.
Students from different institutions took part with enthusiasm, reflecting a growing awareness about the importance of staying away from drugs. During the awareness sessions, participants were informed about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the need to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ganderbal, appreciated the efforts of the staff and the active participation of students. He said that such initiatives are important in guiding young people towards constructive activities and keeping them away from drug abuse.
The department’s ongoing campaign continues to promote the message of a healthy and drug-free society through active youth engagement.
