The house's searches included the residence of former separatist leader Ashraf Sehrai, who died during detention in 2021.
Police said searches were carried out at the residences of several individuals, including Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat alias Goga Shahib alias Mushtaqul Islam of Kashi Mohalla, Batamaloo; Ashraf Sehrai of Baghat; Mehrajuddin Kalwal alias Raj Kalwal of Rainawari Kalwal Mohalla, presently residing at Hamza Colony, Kenihama and currently in NIA custody; and Zameer Ahmad Sheikh of Gulshan Nagar, Nowgam.

During the operations, various materials including literature and photographs allegedly linked to banned separatist outfits were seized. These actions form part of a broader campaign aimed at dismantling the terror and separatist ecosystem in the Valley by targeting its support structures and networks,” a police statement said.
