Pahalgam shivers at -3.0°C
Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season as the mercury dipped across the Valley during the night.
The recent snowfall in the upper reaches of Kashmir has caused a noticeable dip in temperatures across the valley. Several places recorded sub-zero conditions.
The hill resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir was the coldest place in Kashmir with the temperature dropping to -3.0 degrees Celsius.
Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 0.2 degrees Celsius — the coldest night of the season so far.
The temperature was 1.7 degrees Celsius below the normal of 1.9 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has predicted mainly dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
“There is no major change expected in the weather conditions over the subsequent two days, suggesting continued dry and cold conditions across the region,” the MeT official said.
