SSP Traffic Rural warns parents against handing vehicles to minors

Kulgam, Jan 20: The Special Enforcement Team of Traffic Rural Kashmir on Tuesday intercepted a chronic stunt biker in Qazigund as part of its ongoing drive against rash, negligent, and stunt driving.

The rider was identified as Shawer Ahmad Lone of Hariwarh, Kulgam. The motorcycle used for stunts was seized under relevant legal provisions. Officials noted that Lone had repeatedly engaged in dangerous stunt riding, posing serious risks to himself and other road users.

A counselling session was conducted on the spot, educating the biker about the legal consequences of stunt driving and the harmful influence of stunt videos on students and youth.

Traffic authorities, under the supervision of SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir Ravinder Pal Singh and DySP Traffic Qazigund, reiterated special directives to intensify enforcement across rural areas of the Valley. Motorists and parents were warned against allowing minors or unlicensed individuals to operate vehicles, citing the high risk of accidents and fatalities.
