Damipur, Nov 26: A team of students and teachers from Anini, Arunachal Pradesh, on a National Integration Tour, visited Rangapahar Military Station in Nagaland on 25th November 2025, where they had an interactive session with Lt Gen Abhijit S. Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps.

The tour, aimed at fostering national integration, leadership qualities, and patriotism among students, provided a unique platform for the young participants to engage with senior military officials. During the session, Lt Gen Pendharkar shared insights on the Indian Army’s operational preparedness, the significance of discipline and teamwork, and the role of armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s unity and diversity.
Students asked questions about life in the army, strategies for building confidence, and the importance of values such as perseverance, courage, and commitment. The GOC encouraged the students to develop resilience, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility towards society and the country.
Teachers accompanying the students emphasized that such interactions not only enhance awareness of national security but also inspire young minds to cultivate discipline, respect for diversity, and a spirit of service. The visit included a guided tour of the military facilities, demonstrations of equipment, and an opportunity for students to witness the regimented life of soldiers.
The initiative was part of a broader effort by educational institutions in Arunachal Pradesh to expose students to the country’s defence forces and instil a sense of national pride. Students expressed their excitement at meeting the GOC, describing the experience as “motivating and eye-opening,” while officials noted that such engagements strengthen the bond between the youth and the armed forces.
The National Integration Tour continues to encourage students from remote areas like Anini to understand India’s cultural and geographical diversity while learning the values of discipline, leadership, and national service.
