As Kashmir is facing the persistent heat wave conditions, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Saturday said the possibility of declaring summer vacations for schools is not possible at the moment.
Talking to reporters, the Divisional Commissioner emphasized that any decision regarding summer vacations will be made based on the evolving weather conditions.
"At present, the weather does not warrant an immediate summer vacation for schools. We are closely monitoring the situation and will make a decision in due course,” he said.
The Divisional Commissioner said the administration is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
He said any student who couldn't attend the school in present conditions will not be punished for attendance.
The Divisional Commissioner said the administration will keep the public informed and make timely decisions in the best interest of students and educational institutions.
