Wokha/Phek, Sep 5: In a vibrant celebration of knowledge, gratitude, and inspiration, Assam Rifles Primary Schools (ARPS) at Chieswema and Wokha, along with Razeiba High School in Pfutsero, Phek District, commemorated Teacher’s Day 2025 with heartfelt enthusiasm and cultural richness.
The celebrations, held on 5th September, saw the participation of 153 students and 33 teachers, who came together to honor their mentors on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s second President and a revered educationist.
The event was marked by a series of engaging and emotional moments that reinforced the sacred bond between teachers and students. Highlights included:
Floral Tributes and Token Gifts presented by students to express their appreciation
Heartfelt Speeches praising the dedication, patience, and mentorship of the teaching faculty
Cultural Performances, including traditional and modern dances, drama skits, and group songs dedicated to the theme of teaching and gratitude
The atmosphere was filled with reverence, laughter, and a strong sense of unity. Teachers were visibly moved by the respect and affection showered upon them, while students took immense pride in celebrating those who play a pivotal role in shaping their futures.
Speaking at the event, school heads and Assam Rifles personnel emphasized the importance of holistic education, discipline, respect, and moral values — cornerstones of the educational philosophy upheld by ARPS and its partner institutions.
The events across the three schools were coordinated with the support of the Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (North), reinforcing the force’s commitment to not just national security, but also nation-building through education, particularly in the remote and underserved regions of Nagaland.
The Teacher’s Day celebrations concluded with a collective pledge by students to honor the teachings of their mentors and grow into responsible, ethical citizens of the country.
