Srinagar, Sep 13: The day temperatures in Kashmir rose to around 32 degrees Celsius on Sunday as the Valley faced warm weather while Meteorological Department forecast light rain and a change in weather conditions over the next 24 hours.

According to MeT official, most parts of Jammu and Kashmir remain dry and warm today.
“A change in weather conditions is expected between September 14 and the evening of September 15, with light winds and scattered rainfall likely in several areas,” he said.
The MeT official said weather conditions were expected to remain mostly dry after September 20, providing relief to people and farmers preparing for the harvesting season.
However, there has been a rise in daytime temperatures in Kashmir over the past few days. It has brought back warmer conditions across the Valley, with temperatures recorded considerably above normal in several places.
“Srinagar and Kupwara recorded daytime temperatures of around 32°C today while Kokernag and Qazigund also recorded temperatures close to 30°C,” the MeT official said.
The MeT forecast of scattered rainfall is likely to bring some relief from the prevailing warmth.
