The Limitless Power of the Human Mind

August 03, 2025 | Sahil Manzoor

The human mind is truly incredible, endowed with immense potential to learn, grow, and earn recognition. It has the power to bring about revolutionary change in a positive way. Yet, it is also true that the mind forgets, becomes exhausted, and cannot maintain focus for long periods. A truly smart and intelligent person is one who learns continuously while keeping their mind calm and composed.

This universe is filled with mysteries, sorrows, entertainment, and brilliant minds. Perhaps that is why, despite all our achievements, we still feel as though we’ve only scratched the surface—because the universe has no end point, no final destination where our search or curiosity can rest. Nature has gifted human beings with great intelligence. We are the most advanced creation on Earth. Behind every discovery, invention, or innovation stands a human mind. From giant spaceships to aeroplanes and stunning bridges that span vast water bodies, to groundbreaking medical advancements—from complex surgeries to the treatment of life-threatening diseases—humans have reached remarkable milestones.
Still, it is unfortunate that we continue to struggle with deadly diseases like AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), caused by unsafe sexual contact, and cancer—so feared that many people now refer to it simply as "CA". This disease remains one of the most lethal and dreaded health challenges, with the full potential to take lives. Despite tremendous progress, medical science is still striving to completely conquer such diseases. But with continued effort, we may eventually gain full control over them.
According to scientific studies, Earth was formed around 4.54 billion years ago. That means crores of years have passed. Can we even imagine what the world looked like 3000 years ago? How did people live? What was their lifestyle? How did they treat illnesses or meet their daily needs? While historians offer clues, we cannot be completely sure. Fortunately, every day brings new innovations and discoveries—both big and small. It is rightly said: "Necessity is the mother of invention." We continue to seek solutions from institutions, experts, and agencies.
I am writing this article to share a reflection I had today while having lunch at home at 3 p.m. on November 30, 2023. I realized something important: by practicing again and again, we can learn anything more effectively. Professionals—whether teachers, doctors, engineers, scientists, or journalists—play vital roles in our daily lives. We are all creations of the Almighty. We are full of potential and capable of overcoming whatever challenges come our way.
