The second is ideological conflict. This conflict gave birth to the Cold War and later brought the world to the brink of a Third World War. Because of this, the terms neo-imperialism or neo-colonialism were born
From the time this world was created until today, almost every single day, some war or another has certainly been fought or is being fought. If we turn the pages of history, we see one king fighting another, or one country fighting another. It seems as if the world is incomplete without war, or perhaps war itself is the world. Some time ago, a Hindu preacher was saying in his speech that more than ten thousand wars have been fought to date. According to this speaker, from the time history began to be recorded until today, every single day a war has been fought or is being fought in some corner of the world. Since childhood, we have also frequently heard the names of two World Wars. These two wars sent millions of people to their graves and caused trillions in losses. During the Second World War, nuclear weapons were used for the first time when America destroyed two cities in Japan. Now our minds have also become acquainted with the intricacies of wars. Whenever a war happens anywhere, we soon put our acquired experiences to use and ponder over its effects. Now the question is, why do wars happen? There are various reasons behind this. Some of them will be briefly mentioned in the following lines.
The first is colonialism or a colonial mindset. This mindset gives a powerful country the license to occupy a weaker country. Intoxicated with power, a tyrannical powerful country razes a weak country to the ground. It seizes its valuable resources and reduces that country to begging for morsels. This colonialism played a role of more than half in giving birth to the First and Second World Wars. France, Britain, Germany, Russia, America, etc., created scenes of destruction in every corner of the world that make humanity weep tears of blood. This mind-set made India a slave to Britain. The British looted more than 44 trillion dollars worth of wealth from here to secure their future, but they left behind long tales of poverty and despair in India for generations to come.
The second is ideological conflict. This conflict gave birth to the Cold War and later brought the world to the brink of a Third World War. Because of this, the terms neo-imperialism or neo-colonialism were born. Apparently, after removing the leash of slavery, these countries were once again made fuel for a new form of servitude. Under this pretext, Russia occupied Afghanistan. America turned Vietnam into a battlefield. The Taliban were also born during this period. The situation in Kashmir deteriorated in these very decades. The ideological conflict between two countries started an unending series of proxy wars around the world.
The third is religious fanaticism. This fanaticism has reduced the world to ruins. To cut each other's throats in the name of religion and to illegally occupy others' lands is a flawed interpretation of religion, which has been given the name of religious fanaticism. Different forms of this have existed in every era. From the Stone Age to today's developed age, countless battles have been fought in the name of religion. In the name of holy land, holy books, holy rituals, and holy symbols, such a bloody holocaust has been played out that humanity sometimes even begins to doubt the very existence of religion itself.
The fourth is the 'Nafs-e-Ammara' (the soul that incites to evil). This type of soul turns a human into an animal. This soul does not sit peacefully until it derives pleasure from the humiliation and helplessness of others. Sometimes it emerges in the form of imposing one's awe upon others, and sometimes it manifests in the inhumane form of burying innocents alive. The 'Nafs-e-Ammara' makes a human consider himself God, and this very arrogance of being a false god leads a person to ruin, and the world falls victim to terrible wars. The state of helplessness and destitution everywhere is just the ugly face of the 'Nafs-e-Ammara'.
As mentioned above, these wars have destroyed or are destroying settlements after settlements. Even today, the world is watching helplessly and silently two terrible wars. Russia and its allies are turning Ukraine into piles of rubble, and on the other hand, Israel and its allies are drenching Gaza in blood. Besides death, there is a loss of trillions. The death toll of animals is unimaginable. Diseases are increasing tremendously. There is an atmosphere of fear everywhere. Studies are being badly affected. Innocent children are being forced into labour. The home environment is suffering breakdown. Dark clouds of despair are looming. A thick layer of sadness has covered beautiful faces. There is no hope for a beautiful tomorrow. The human-like animals of the world have made life miserable for people.
To reduce the intensity of wars, it is necessary to accept and act upon the laws laid down by Allah Almighty. Under His principles, peace will be attainable both in this world and in the hereafter. He is aware of human psychology. So, it is in our best interest to follow His commands. Apart from this, the United Nations must also play its role. It has become extremely necessary for the UN to diligently perform the task for which it was formed. This institution of nearly two hundred countries can play a very major role in spreading peace and stopping war. Furthermore, the fifty-seven Muslim countries can also form a large bloc and work at the international level to reduce the devastations of war. They have no shortage of resources. By utilizing these resources fully, they can help any innocent country. Starting a war is within our power, but ending it is not. Therefore, the easiest way to prevent wars is to simply avoid war itself. The reasons that cause wars should be eradicated beforehand. Through these methods, we can be saved from the horrors of war.
