
Security arrangements have been heightened across Kashmir ahead of Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan’s maiden visit on February 26. He will attend the 21st convocation of the University of Kashmir in Hazratbal. A multi-layered security grid, vehicle checks, additional checkpoints, area patrolling, and quick reaction teams are in place.
The convocation will see 59,558 degrees conferred, including undergraduates, postgraduates, MD/MS, M.Phil, and PhDs. LG Manoj Sinha will preside as Chancellor, while CM Omar Abdullah will attend as Guest of Honour.
