After a steady revival of tourism in the region, the Ganta area of Srinagar witnessed a significant influx of tourists during the evening hours on Sunday. Visitors were seen enjoying the scenic surroundings, local shops, and the vibrant atmosphere, signaling a positive trend for the local tourism economy.

Tourists, both domestic and out-of-state, flocked to the area to experience the picturesque views of the Dal Lake and the nearby Mughal gardens, which are among Srinagar’s top attractions. Families, couples, and solo travelers were spotted taking leisurely walks, clicking photographs, and sampling local cuisine from the eateries lining the Ganta area.
Local shopkeepers and vendors expressed optimism, noting a marked increase in footfall compared to the previous months. "Business has picked up tremendously. Tourists are spending on local handicrafts, food, and boat rides, which is a welcome boost for our livelihoods," said a local vendor.
The revival of tourism has also provided employment opportunities for guides, drivers, and small-scale entrepreneurs who rely heavily on tourist traffic.
