
Two young men from Kupwara lost their lives in a fatal motorcycle accident near the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) in Srinagar.
Officials said the accident occurred when a motorcycle, registered under number JK04C 5524, crashed into an electric pole. The collision left both riders with critical injuries.
A police team from the Kothibagh station responded swiftly and rushed the injured to SMHS Hospital. However, doctors at the facility pronounced them dead on arrival.
The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Ghulam Mohammad Lone, son of Ali Mohammad, and 23-year-old Reyaz Ahmad Tantray, son of Mohammad Yousuf Tantray. Both hailed from Machil area of Kupwara district. Police have initiated proceedings and are investigating the matter.
