Anantnag, August 13: Two teenagers were killed and two others injured after lightning struck them at Gawran Nard in the Larnoo area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Officials said the incident took place at Gawran Nard in Larnoo tehsil.
The deceased have been identified as Faizan Ahmad, 18, son of Mohd Yaqoob Chard, a resident of Gawran, and Bilal Ahmad Battan, 16, son of Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Redwani Gawran.
The injured have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Battana, 15, son of Sai Battana, and Shareef Ahmad Battana, son of Jumma, both residents of Redwani Gawran.
All four were shifted to PHC Larnoo for immediate medical treatment.
Police and local authorities have taken cognizance of the incident. Further details are awaited.
