Udhampur, Oct 18: A felicitation ceremony was today organized here at the Chief Education Office to honour the Departmental Cricket Team for its outstanding achievement in winning the Civic Action Cricket Tournament 2025 final.

The tournament was held under the Civic Action Programme by the IRP 24th Battalion at Subash Stadium, Udhampur. The Education Department Team clinched victory by defeating the District Youth Services and Sports Office Team in a thrilling final match held on October 15, 2025.
The event at the CEO Office was graced by Joint Director School Education Udhampur–Reasi Dr Jagdish Chander Mehra, who commended the team for its discipline, teamwork and commitment that led to their remarkable performance.
Deputy Chief Education Officer Dr. Kalpana Jasrotia also lauded the team for their convincing victory and expressed pride in their spirited representation of the department.
Section Officer Geeta Kumari, along with other officials and staff members of the Chief Education Office, extended congratulations to the players for bringing laurels to the Education Fraternity through their emphatic win.
