Every human being is bestowed by unique mind set by nature. At the same time mind-set does not altogether come naturally, but gets redefined & reshaped by various socio-cultural factors. A social conduct always has a dominating influence on the way, human beings behave and act. Having said that, a destructive & pessimistic mindset also gets evolved due to various Socio-cultural factors. Unfortunately from our family environment to social circles, we always fall prey to destructive thought processes. We may achieve material development but without any wisdom & civility I will throw light on various destructive thought processes through the medium of this Article.

Firstly, two days ago I had gone to a public park along with my elder son for an evening walk. The park has been maintained with beautiful environs from every side. Everyone was enjoying in their own unique way. What I witnessed their shocked me at the first sight. Young kids were trying to burn fire in order to beat coldness .But they were burning the very infrastructure by breaking the benches made of timber. This experience sent Shockwaves inside my mind. This is how we treat public property in Kashmir. Is not it a fact, that we always mishandle & destroy public property by thinking that we have done a noble act A public property gets built upon very tax payers money .It is collective property of tax payers. Coming to another side of the story. Wherever any public toilet point is built in Kashmir, we turn it into miserable condition due to collective carelessness & mishandling. Whenever you happen to visit any Government run hospital, you can witness how we treat our precious infrastructure there. Basically our psychological conditioning has gone very wrong. We never bother to redirect our misplaced priorities. We destroy public property by declaring it as our birth right.
Secondly, our country has envisioned the idea of Viksit Bharat by 2047.That means that we will be proud citizens of a great developed nation by 2047.But that vision will get cemented, when we will act like responsible citizens of a developing economy. We first need mental development in this regard. We have to reshape our priorities in accordance with national aims & objectives .We have to actively participate in noble cause of nation building by bulldozing the inherent manifestations of destructive mentality. We need to recognise the importance of public infrastructure in our daily lives. We as members of civil society need to take care of public Infrastructure just like we take care of own properties .How much we love to take care of our own property should manifest in love & care for public infrastructure. There are unfortunate episodes in our recent history, when we have burned public property by our own hands. By doing so, we have tried to vent our frustration and anger. We have burned a power grid station in frustration, when a transmission line accidently fell on School going kids. Now some fellows will justify that why does that transmission line fell on innocent kids. But the law of the land has given us innumerable opportunities to corner elected governments as well as administrative machineries. It is upto us, which type of legal remedy we are seeking.
Last but not the least ,let our mind become Viksit in order to nurture greater vision of Viksit Bharat. Better late than never.
