
The sporting energy of Baramulla continues to surge as Varmul Gindo 2025 hosted another action-packed day of competition across Rugby, Handball and Football.
At Gen Bipin Rawat Stadium, Rugby took center stage with 6 high-voltage matches played between 100 enthusiastic participants. The fast-paced action and physical grit drew a cheering crowd of around 150 spectators, celebrating the rising popularity of the sport in the valley.
Meanwhile, at HSS Kheri, the Handball Final between Khel India HC and Ahmad HC began amidst electrifying excitement. With 12 top players on the court and over 200 passionate spectators in attendance, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. The match was still underway at the time of reporting, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
Over at GDC Ground, the much-awaited football clash between Sober United FC and SW FC was set to begin at 1730 hrs. The crowd had already crossed 180, with more fans expected to pour in, eager to witness the football frenzy.
With a total participation of 136 athletes and an audience strength of 600 , Varmul Gindo continues to be a beacon of youth spirit and sporting excellence in North Kashmir.
