VCOAS encourages Manipur students during NIT

New Delhi, Nov 20: As part of the ongoing National Integration Tour, 22 school and college students from tribal communities of Manipur had an inspiring interaction with Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS), today.

During the session, the VCOAS lauded the students for their achievements across academics, sports, and cultural activities. He encouraged them to pursue excellence with dedication, perseverance, and a strong sense of national pride. Emphasizing the value of aligning personal efforts with the nation’s development, he highlighted the importance of contributing to nation-building through commitment and hard work.
The VCOAS also appreciated the efforts of the Directorate General of Army Recruiting (DGAR) for empowering youth from the North East and enabling them to experience the opportunities India offers. He encouraged the students to embrace diversity, learn from different cultures, and carry forward the message of unity in diversity.
The National Integration Tour, organized by the Indian Army, aims to broaden perspectives for students from remote regions, exposing them to India’s cultural heritage, development initiatives, and the enduring spirit of national unity. Students participating in the tour expressed gratitude for the interaction and shared their excitement in learning from such a distinguished leader.
This initiative is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to foster awareness, inclusivity, and motivation among young citizens, particularly from tribal and remote communities, strengthening the bond between the youth and the nation.
