Walong, , Mar 17 : The Dao Division under Spear Corps inaugurated a memorial at Walong to pay tribute to Lt Bikram Singh, who laid down his life during the 1962 India-China War while defending the Walong Airstrip against overwhelming odds.

The ceremony highlighted Lt Singh’s extraordinary bravery and sacrifice, which played a crucial role in delaying enemy advances and inspiring his unit. Spear Corps officials, local leaders, and community members attended the event, reaffirming the nation’s respect for fallen heroes.
