
Srinagar Mar 28: As a part of efforts to strengthen access to Justice through technology-enabled legal services and to foster informed deliberations among key stakeholders, a workshop on Tele-Law services was held at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex here today.
The workshop was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo and attended by senior Officers and Officials of the District Administration Srinagar along with District Manager CSC Srinagar and VLEs of District Srinagar.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of Tele-Law services in ensuring timely and accessible legal assistance to citizens. He highlighted that such initiatives play a crucial role in bridging the gap between legal institutions and the public.
During the session, the DC stressed the need for enhanced legal awareness and effective implementation of Tele-Law services through Common Services Centres (CSCs), so as to ensure that legal aid reaches every section of society, particularly those living in remote and underserved areas.
He further underscored the importance of stronger coordination among the judiciary, administration and civil society organizations to improve last-mile delivery of justice.
The workshop concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to strengthen Tele-Law outreach and enhance service delivery for the welfare of the public.
