Sadia Tariq international Wushu gold medallist and 3 times national gold medalist invited by Dr. Owais, Commissioner of Jammu & Kashmir Municipal Corporation, to participate in an engaging and insightful session alongside athletes of Wushu including other athletes, and social media influencers. The discussion focused on the pressing need to promote environmental sustainability and disaster prevention in our region. It was an enriching experience to exchange ideas on how we can work collectively to preserve the unparalleled beauty of Srinagar. Dr. Owais also praised the rapid growth of Wushu in J&K, highlighting its positive impact on reducing drug issues, thanks to the support of Coach Kuldeep Handoo.
I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on how youth can play a pivotal role in safeguarding our environment. By raising awareness and encouraging responsible practices, we can inspire the younger generation to embrace eco-friendly habits and contribute towards a cleaner, greener future for Jammu and Kashmir.
