A 22-year-old youth was hospitalized after being stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon in Khimber area of Srinagar on Wednesday.
Local sources said a team from Police Post Khimber shifted the injured to SKIMS Soura following the incident. The victim has been identified as Sahil Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Hamid Ganie, a resident of Chatterhama in Srinagar.
Sources said Sahil sustained injuries in his abdomen after he was allegedly attacked by a known person at Khimber Chowk. His condition is being monitored by doctors at the hospital.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter and further investigations are underway.
