In a remarkable step toward promoting adventure sports, confidence-building, and outdoor learning among youth, the Department of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Bandipora today flagged off a special trekking expedition comprising both boys and girls to the scenic trails of Pahalgam.
The contingent was proudly flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, DDC Chairman, along with DYSSO Bandipora Mr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat and the Activity Incharge YSS Bandipora, marking the beginning of a memorable journey scheduled from 24th to 30th November.
Pahalgam—known for its breathtaking landscapes and numerous trekking routes—offers an ideal environment for young participants to explore, learn, and grow. This initiative is not only unique but also provides a fresh and enriching experience for the trekkers, many of whom are stepping into such an adventure for the first time.
Throughout the expedition, DYSSO Bandipora will be leading from the front, ensuring smooth coordination, safety, and proper guidance for all participants as they navigate the diverse trekking logs and natural trails of the region.
