Omar questions Kejriwal’s apology spree
Questioning the Delhi Chief Minister’s decision to apologize to shed defamation cases against him through out-of-court settlements and one-on-one ‘understandings’, former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said Arvind Kejriwal will certainly have less legal problems when he is done apologizing, but at what political cost.
What will his audience think the next time he levels an allegation against someone, Mr Abdullah asked.
“Arvind Kejriwal will certainly have less legal problems when he is done apologising but at what political cost? What will his audience think the next time he levels an allegation against someone?” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Abdullah was reacting to Kejriwal shedding three defamation cases in the last five days by apologizing to SDA leader Bikram Majithia, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Congress leader Kapil Sibal’s son Amit Sibal.
The Delhi Chief Minister has 30 more similar defamation cases in 22 states against him.
