Pak diplomat summoned, India conveys grave concern on ceasefire violations

India today summoned Pakistan Deputy High Commissioner Syed Haider Shah here today and conveyed government of India’s concern over ceasefire violations.
He was summoned by the Ministry of External Affairs.
“He was conveyed the Government’s grave concern and strong protest at the continuing
incidents of ceasefire violations by the Pakistan side at the Line of Control (LoC)
and International Border (IB),” an official statement said.
The government registered its strong protest at the fatal casualty of an Indian soldier
in unprovoked firing by “Pakistan forces” on March 9, 2017.
The Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan was also conveyed that the government of India would expect that “Pakistan will not take any step detrimental to peace along the LoC and International Border and to the security of India”, the statement said.
