Scores of parents on Friday demanded school fee waiver from Delhi Public School (DPS) Athwajan, Srinagar. The parents said that they plan to continue their protest until the school authorities meets their demands.

“Our wards are in homes. They have not gone to school again now,” said a parent.
He said that the school authorities are again demanding bus fee from us. “How are we supposed to pay the school fee when our wards are not attending the school,” he said.
Another parents said that “we demand that the school fee should be waived off completely.”
The education department had on Thursday issued a circular shutting the schools till April 31.
