PDP leader killed by unidentified gunmen in Pulwama

A ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader was killed by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources said that unidentified gunmen fired at PDP district president Pulwama, Abdul Gani, at Kakpora in south Kashmir in broad day light when he was on his way to Srinagar. The injured, who had received a bullet in his chest and another in his leg, was immediately taken to a local hospital from where he was referred to SMHS hospital in a critical condition. Gani later succumbed to his injuries at the Srinagar hospital.
Meanwhile, the gunmen managed to escape, they said, adding a massive search operation has been launched to nab the accused.
