Muzamil Mahmood is a professional football coach from Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. In an interview he mentioned," I'm an AFC B license coach working in Indian Football for the last 15 years. I completed my coaching course in Brazil in the year 2011. He added that, "I have been working with professional teams and academies as both assistant coach and Head coach” Let me mention that he has worked with Real Kashmir, a Kashmir-based Football club, and he has also been the head coach at Chandigarh Santosh Trophy team.
Muzamil Mahmood has worked as a scout of Reliance Foundation for Jammu and Kashmir, India. Muzamil Mahmood was born on 14th of November 1982 in a small and remote hamlet, Gogji Gund of district Ganderbal, Kashmir. In his early childhood, he toiled to learn Football. Football was unconditional love for him, and he would spend most of his time in the ground playing soccer. His family has supported him during his childhood.
Muzamil Mahmood Dar is the most humble and great personality with a profound mission of promoting the sports, especially Football in the state of depressed youth, Kashmir. Drug addiction is on the stake in our state and let me remind you that Kashmir is on the 2nd number in the list of drug abusive states of India! Hence, there is a greater need for youth to be involved in physical activities and team sports like football and for that many people have come forward from the capital city of Kashmir. But, there was no one who could introduce sports to the youth of back ward and rural areas like Ganderbal. The more Muzamil Mahmood is praised for his dedication and contribution to the game, the less it is. Ganderbal is not any less than the capital city, Srinagar. The youngsters are taking part in sports and eventually thanks to Muzamil Mahmood sir, Football has become the most played game in district Ganderbal.
He has introduced football to the residents of his district professionally and has established a Football club/Academy which is known as Football Club Ganderbal Academy.
While talking to him, he said that the Academy is not sponsored by anyone, he is doing everything on his own just to brighten the future of players. He has built the whole empire all alone. Many lads got the opportunity to learn and play for that Academy. In his empire, youngsters not only learn how to play Soccer, but they are also being fed the moral education respectively. There are now many boys from his Academy who have represented Kashmir nationally and internationally! His dedication is vibrant and unparalleled.
I have spent a very limited time in his academy, but it's unbelievable that I have gained a lot of knowledge. The words that Muzamil Mahmood speaks are life-changing and motivational, full of enthusiasm! He is the best personality I have ever seen. To be honest, I was an Ineptitude, but because of him, I have opted for some good skills. His teachings have made me conscious.
Muzamil Mahmood Dar has got fame but still, he is down to earth with an immaculate heart.
I am over the moon as I'm the lucky one who has been and will be the student of Muzamil Mahmood sir! Besides being a genuine human being, he is not less than an angel for the whole Kashmir.
Muzamil Mahmood's struggles are worth knowing. Though he had certainly fallen in love with the game but due to the absence of a guide and mentor, he was left all by himself.
He would wake up early in the morning and would go to the nearest field to practice solitary due to the lack of a playground and the lack of interest in playing soccer among the people belonging to his area. He once told us that the dream of becoming professional footballer would make him enthusiastic, and he would then cover a longer distance to reach to the playground far away from his birthplace as a result he was often returning home late, he would try to hitch some cars but ordinarily he would keep on walking by foot as there was no transport that would lead him to his remote hamlet!
This appetite of becoming professional footballer resulted in his success and gave him a professional career which indeed was a slap on the faces of those who would discourage him by saying that he won't reach to the pinnacleofsuccess. Muzamil Mahmood sir undoubtedly has created history, but we should not forget about his toughest struggles. He faced challenges all alone but for the whole Ganderbal district that is why his pulchritudinous nature is praiseworthy.
According to a report, Muzamil Mahmood sir has said that in 2007 he decided to become a guide, mentor, and coach, and he decided to train youngsters so that they could not face whatever Muzamil Mahmood sir himself faced. He once again repeated history by being the football coach outside Kashmir. Furthermore, his dedication helped him get the AFC B license which is the second-highest level of coaching all over the Asian continent. Besides football, Muzamil Mahmood sir is a government employee and working as a teacher. He teaches English.
I had a brief conversation with some of the students about his teaching skills at school and believe me the students praised him so much and I could see love for Muzamil sir in their eyes. They said that they haven't seen such a great person and a friendly teacher ever. One of the students also mentioned that Muzamil sir's teaching skills are so awesome that hardly any student fails from his class. He always gets better results from his students than any other teacher. This makes us understand that he has given importance to education as well. Nowadays some of the sports loving people love sports so much that they often utter defiantly that sports and education are different things, one can not keep on studying if one is willing to choose his passion that's sports or any other things. Muzamil sir is the pure example of professionalism and obviously the greatest of all the times.
Muzamil Mahmood has made a massive contribution in the construction of my positive mindset. Muzamil Mahmood Dar is a humble, respected, talented, dedicated, enthusiastic, motivational, and immaculate personality.
