Authorities in Kashmir said unknown persons hurled a petrol bomb on a CRPF bunker in Tengpora Bypass area of Srinagar city on Tuesday.
Official sources said after a stone-pelting incident, a petrol bomb was hurled towards troopers bunker that created panic there. The troopers from 38 Battalion CRPF fired some tear-smoke shells to disperse the youth who continued to resort to stone-pelting.
The traffic on the road disappeared after the incident. Meanwhile, locals alleged that troopers smashed the windowpanes of their houses without any provocation. “Whenever these troopers come under attack, they target innocent people. This is really a sorry state of affairs,” said a local.
