Awantipora, police attended a terror crime spot following reports of a killing of civilian by militants in the area.
Officers attending the terror crime spot learnt that one individual was shot dead by the militants.
He has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Lone son of Gh Mohammad Lone resident of Dogripora aged about 40 years.
Body will be handed over to the family members after completion of medico-legal formalities.
Initial investigations has revealed that he was forcibly taken away by the militants and shot dead.
Police has registered a case in this regard. Officers from the local police unit are at the spot and are investigating the circumstances which led to this incident.``
