Students from different Polytechnic colleges Monday said appealed the authorities to hold separate exam for the backlog students.
The students held protests demonstration at Press Enclave and said that have left students high and dry and are facing “mental trauma due to anti-student policies pursued by the present Director”
“BOTE used to hold separate exams for students with backlogs but the practice has been abandoned now. The decision of the BOTE has put students under mental stress and as they will lost a complete year. This decision is anti-student aimed at to teach students a lesson who opposed the policies of the BOTE when it tried to impose examinations on them during the current unrest,” they said.
The students appealed that a separate exam should be held for the backlog students so that their future can be saved. “Ever since the present Director has assumed charge, the Polytechnic colleges across Kashmir have lost sheen and have only been pursuing anti-student policies,” they said and demanded that the practice to hold separate exams for backlog students should continue in the interest of the students.
