Police arrested a government official after he was found in a compromising position with a female by locals at a rented house in Magarmal Bagh area of Srinagar city.
Official sources said that a top Government official (name withheld) who is presently posted in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district was arrested after locals in Magarmal Bagh area found him at a rented house with a female in compromising position.
Sources said that locals staged a protest and demanded stern action against the said official. They alleged that there are some people from the same locality who are propagating waywardness in the area. A police team from nearby police station rushed to spot and arrested the official who according to locals was caught red handed with the female. Police also arrested the accomplice of the official while according to locals two other accomplices of the official managed to escape from the spot.
Sources said that police have registered a formal case against the official who hails from Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. (KNT)
