Separatist leaders holds sit- in at Hyderpora

A sit in protest was held at Hyderpora by the workers of pro-freedom leaders and workers against the condition of detainees in different jails of the state.
The call for the protest was given by the joint Hurriyat headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani .
Profreedom leaders including Noor Mohamad Kalwal, Raja Meraj u Din and Gh Nabi Zaki addressed participants and Sheikh Ab Rashid ,Mohammad Shafi Rishi, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Yassin Ataie and others participated in the sit in.
They protestors said, “India has no constitutional right to observe Republic Day in J&K as they have occupied state with their military might. We need to carry ongoing freedom movement cooperatively.”
The leaders during the protest stressed for strong unification among people and separatist camp. “Our unification has infused a new spirit and rejuvenated the passion among people .The recent uprising a milestone. As compared to year 2008 and 2010, we have conveyed strong and powerful message to India,” the leaders said.
While referring to policymakers in Delhi and, the leaders said, “They feel distressed as we are united for the cause and coherence among people and resistance leadership. The move annoys them and they feel desperate to sabotage our unity. They won’t break us and we will move ahead.”
Strongly resenting and protesting issuance of domicile certificates to refugees, the leaders in a unanimous voice said that it is unacceptable and aimed at to “alter the demographic status of state. “
“We will never allow this and will fight tooth and nail.There is no legal or constitutional justification for their rehabilitation in state as they don’t belong to this state, however they as per partition plan are entitled to get domicile rights in other state of India.”
Reiterating their appeal for complete shutdown on January 26, they said that every kind of activity related to India’s Republic Day should be “boycotted.”
They said, “it is ridiculous to call and force employees to attend 26th January event.”
The leaders called for complete boycott on January 26, and said that “India has no constitutional right to observe Republic Day in J&K as they have occupied state with their military might.”
